covid-19 update

We are very sad to announce that we have decided to cancel our 2020 tournament. We looked at a host of options including delaying to July, pushing back to pre-season but sadly none of these appeared to be viable. We very much look forward to football returning before too long. In the meantime please stay safe and follow the guidelines.

For teams that have already signed up we will be in touch shortly.

LOOKING BACK AT THE 2019 TOURNAMENT

General

The 2019 tournament was held on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th June 2019.  It was another fantastic weekend of grass-roots football despite the weather. Our 2018 tournament saw possibly the hottest two days of football in the history of the game, 2019 treated us to something a little cooler. And a lot wetter…

the weekend in numbers

We had over 860 players from 112 teams across nine age groups playing in our tournament. We cooked and sold over 800 burgers, around 400 sausages and over 80 kilos of bacon.

And of course as you may not know we employed two car parks for the first time when the weather forced us to close our initial car park because of the conditions. Congratulations to the Tournament Team for some first-class crisis management. I’m sure none of our visitors were any the wiser…
